Recycled Paper Pulp
The recycled paper that I prepare myself very much suits the description of the images which speak to me. It has its own energy and references from the previous incarnation of the paper, onto which I add new information. It’s not uniform, its colours are monochromatic, it’s weaker than the original paper and it has random patches of colour which I plant in it.
It looks like a remnant of an ancient scroll or a torn parchment. I continuously carve and dig into it in search of its inner truth. In recycling paper, I feel a part of nature’s cyclic energy process.
My love affair with recycled paper began with recycled paper pulp.
I created the images embedded in, with the help of different coloured pulps, without any interference through painting.
A kind of archaeological world of my own.
